Program Eligibility

Eligible applicants to the MSE – Scalable Systems and MSE – Embedded Systems have: 

  • An undergraduate degree in computer science or an engineering-related discipline that includes coursework in discrete mathematics or statistics, data structures and algorithms.
  • Less than 2 years of software development experience.

In 2020, admitted students had an average 159 GRE verbal score, and 168 GRE quantitative score. Admitted international students typically average a 109 total TOEFL score. That year, the program admitted 45% women and 55% men to the program.
